The Death of a Japanese Reporter
A Japanese reporter, Kenji Nagai, had been shot dead during a protest in Yangon. A video footage showed that he had been deliberately shot by a soldier. Japan will sending its deputy foreign minister to Burma to investigate this. Mr. Nagai, who was working for the Tokyo-based APF network, was seen falling to the ground still carrying his camera as a soldier points a rifle right in front of him. Japanese Embassy doctors had confirmed that he was killed by a bullet to the chest.
